My father and I both fly online! He's a retired Colonel from the USAF that flew fighters in Vietnam. He's 78, I'm 46 :)

Oh, and I just remembered, my forum avatar is from one of his squadrons too.

Very Cool:thumbup: I bet he's really excited about BelSimtek's upcoming Phantom!!!

I'm a Very immature 53 BTW :)

The age of a flight summer isn't all that you would want to test.

I'm 30, but have been playing flight sims from about 5 years old (with help from my dad admittedly).

A better question would be how long have you been simming for?

Where are the times...

You would buy a sim and get a booklet with it... Including printed maps etc. These times are gone now. I did upload pdf files on my A4 sized ereader. DCS manuals look great on ereaders.

47 here... Been using flight simulations for a long time.

I think that the 40-ers and 50-ers come from a different generation where each year, as the hardware for home PCs improved, new flight simulations appeared with great new features.

In our search for the ultimate sim... DCS world is coming closer to that ...

Yeah like colour (hmm color) screens aka not monochrome and 8086's. :P:D

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

I'm 32 and I wont say my reflexes are shutting down as mentioned in some posts just becuase I'm not 18 any more.

I'm 30 and will tell you my reflexes aren't what they were. However, there comes a point where your experience can overcome that anyway. With practice and experience you can manage to plant yourself into a position where quick reflexes are unnecessary; it becomes pure training and knowledge :)

So around 35-50, which jives with Bunyap's YT data.

51 here, and my first flight sim was probably F15 Strike Eagle on my friends Apple II. Unless Choplifte counts! LOL. Quickly moved to Flight Simulator around 84'ish. I remember that was the benchmark of IBM clones "it runs Flight Simulator" All of Microprose, Janes, Nova Logic titles followed.
