How to add a virtual button to an Axis?

unknown

Recommended Posts

I tried to assign two virtual buttons to two of the axis on the T-50 throttle. To be exact i tried to add two buttons to each axis 1 and 2(left/right throttle). My thought was to use this in the F-18(and other modules) to bring my throttle from off to idle and to simulate the AB detent press. Does anybody know how to configure this in the VPC configuration tool(i'm using version190109)? Attached are two pictures with my current attempt, i also tried different Phys.button numbers without succes. If i move the axis no button is triggered.

It's in the manual, page 9. Axis-2-Button.

Did you actually tried that or are you just pointing out that there is a chapter in the manual?

Yes it is in the manual, and yes i tried it that way, and NO it is not working like that for me hence the two screenshots above so somebody with experience could have a look and point out my mistake or if this is a bug of the configurator software version 190109?

Try setting axis band "Range from%" 95 and "Range to%" 100, etc.

Thank you very much, now it's doing something, not exactly what i want but it's reacting. I will try to figure it out later today but thank you again for pointing me in the right directing!

Edit: Got it all figured out, thank you again Sokol for your help!

Sorry, didn't mean to insult your intelligence. I was pointing that information out to the two responses you received about the manual.

No problem

Is this the manual you are referring to?

Yes, VPC Configurator User manual - pages 9 - 11

My mistake was that i moved the throttle axis from all the way back (configurator 100%) to all the way ahead (configurator 0%) and thought i can bind the buttons from that range 100-95 - like i move the axis....i didn't notice that i have to put it in from the lower number to the higher number.

9-11? It ends on page 9. Must be a different manual. Link yours so I can see it

It's the same manual as in your link. The chapter starts on page 9 Axis-2-Button and ends on page 11, the next chapter starts on page 12 LED Configuration. Everything on page 10 and 11 belongs to the Axis-2-Button chapter.
