BudgietheLittleHelicopter
I was setting up my new pedals, and while I was loading one of the quick play mission of the TF-51 the game hung during one of the loading screens. I could not end the program with task manager so I did a hard reset. After restarting Windows I tried to start DCS World again, and surprisingly I got the question whether I wanted to install DCS World. Steam no longer recognizes that the game is installed. But all my files (about 100Gb) are still on the ssd. Check local files does not work as all options are greyed out. Any help to prevent reinstallation and lose of activations is much appreciated. I am running the stable version of DCS world. Not the beta.
FragBum
Is there a "repair" dcs utility included with the steam version? Prolly windows->start ->DCS->repair if it's included. Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic. BudgietheLittleHelicopter
Well I initiated the reinstall and pointed steam to the existing folder. It scanned the existing files and it was not necessary to download anything. A minor inconvenience, but it would be nice if the crash and subsequent deactivation could be fixed. Thanks Fragbum
