fitness88 Posted January 26, 2017 Share Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) I noticed the Mig-29s engine nozzles open and close a bit as you move the throttle through afterburner stages, just as seen on the F-15. However unlike the F-15, the Mig-29s fuel consumption stays the same no matter what stage in afterburner you are. Is fuel flow modelled in the Mig-29s when in a different stages of afterburner? If you just barely nudge into the afterburner, you'll hear it come on, and no, it doesn't draw as much fuel as if you firewall it. The line between the two is very thin. Unless I'm ridiculously stupid, because I specifically avoid the second stage afterburner BECAUSE it sucks so much extra fuel.
