There's a few things that point to the Bug being unrealistic for this year. Spit maybe, but if they are knee deep in the F-18 systems and FM at this point, it sounds like it won't happen. Ah well, there's always next year.

Here's hoping they don't wait until the last days of 2016 to announce a delay (if there is one), by then people will be really hyped/pissed off. Damage control is always more effective when it's early.

I always thought the "EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE" quote was the standard way of handling damage control. Outside of that thought I don't think there is a concern anymore if the customer becomes pissed off. I feel that there is a "get over it" mentality here when customers react negatively to the news of delays or change in direction.

Well he could be talking about final release. As we were given to understand, the Bug will be relased in alpha stage.

I'm expecting to see at least screens with working MFDs and HUD before we can think about an alpha release, though.

I hope he is referring to final release otherwise questions on how bad the estimations on a early release for this year would really cast serious doubts on ED's project management.

I really don't want to make any confusion here, but looks like even the 2.5 won't be released this year, what we will have is the Normandy as early access and also an update for the NTTR.

Carrier ops is on hold as well (according to Chizh - please correct me if I am wrong.)

I'm not confirming anything here, I'm just sharing with you guys what I've found.

Razbam is rocking the mirage, they have practically needed a year to complete the mirage to the stage it is now.

I cant imagine that ED has that many more people working on the F18, that their time needed to code it to a stage where you can even alpha early access it, is less then a month, despite the massively bigger complexity.

He means for early access, I am pretty sure.
