Tell us what you think, we're looking forward to your feedback!

Please note: Unfortunately the free trial will be available on standalone only. We really wanted to bring this trial to Steam, but we could not make it happen this time. You will have to grab the standalone version to participate.

That said, we will be working hard to make sure that our products, events and sales are planned with parity on both platforms in the future!

Thank you for your kind understanding.

Nice! Amazing opportunity to try the viggen & f14. Which Steam version do I need? 2.5 Open beta or just 2.5?

Both will work but latest Open Beta is better choice atm - contains newest fixes and corrections.

What went wrong guys? Something Steam related? (wants to fly the Tomcat, but only has Steam version of the game)

Yes, unfortunately. We are btw still trying to make it happen, but it doesnt look good - suffice to say steam can be a bit complicated at times.

In any case a possibility is to just download and install the standalone caucasus and try either Tomcat and Viggen there, and then at the end just uninstall it and get it on steam if you like it. I know it is anything but ideal, however at least you are not left out of the free trial like that.

Should anything change regarding steam today, we will let you know of course.

Again our apologies, we really wanted to offer both.

I have no problem temporarily converting Steam DCS installation to standalone to try modules out - but what I really want to know (as a Steam DCS player) - will the discount be available on summer sale on Steam next week?

I'd rather not mix the two versions and have my eggs in a single basket so to speak - if I'll like F14 (and I have a STRONG impression I will)

Beautiful planes. Is it really that easy to break them? Is it really possible to maneuver with such a load that causes wing breakage and such rotation, while AJS37 can be controlled even without wings?

Remember that these aircraft do not have a flight control system. So you can make it do whatever you want.

With the F-14 you took up to 30g, which is comparable to the maximum g-load a missile can take. So it is not surprising that the aircraft breaks.

With the Viggen you took a sustained 13g, which is already a lot. So i am not surprised again.

In fact you say it's easy to break them but it is because you do not feel the g-force in a simulation. IRL with so much g the pilot would be killed or passed out.

Kind regards,

Vince
