You may have seen me post over a month ago regarding the search for a 3D modeler. Over a month later, we have solid work to show for our modeler's efforts! Rolf Klomp, a member of the DCS community has joined us as the lead engineering chief for 'Limitless Aerobatics'.

We are working hard on our 5-ship display routine that we will proudly showcase in early 2016. We have a full roster of pilots, which includes 3 active pilots and 2 recruits in training who have been working hard for the last month. We look forward to sharing more news with you soon, feel free to ask questions!

Check out our facebook which details a description of our aim as a virtual aerobatic team.

As of now, we are planning on only developing the model for the team. As we progress further (cockpit / FM) I am sure this will be something our modeler may consider, it is completely up to him to decide future plans however as of now it is a private modification.

Lead engineer/modeler reporting in =) Currently our focus is to add the external model into DCS 1.5 as a private mod/3D model. In addition, we'll probably do some tweaks on the SFM to give it more true to life flight dynamics, and we're also considering giving it internal cockpit model. The M-346 a relatively modern aircraft and there's not a lot of info on the flight characteristics and systems. So unfortunately there's no chance that it will become a fully functional 3rd party DCS module.

Hi, a lot of work hours go into projects like this, there is no payment or reward. This is the reason that a lot of people resail their work. It would be unreasonable to simply hand away the modification. If we do decide to do this in the future, we will be sure to send you a message via the forums. Thanks.

A few in-game shots of the new bird in DCS 1.5! This is just a basic texture to cover the silver livery that is produced in the 'factory' (3DS Max). We're hard at work on the livery with some help externally in the meanwhile! Stay tuned for pictures of the whole team!

^^ It's an Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master

although it's could be probably be easily weaponised and be passed off as a Yak-130 :D

would love to see it make it into DCS as a module.

Hi guys,

Thanks for reaching out to this post. Yes, like dartuil said, the aircraft is private as it stands. We don't plan to halt the development at a specific stage and expect to continue essentially until there's nothing left to do. So in all honestly, we don't know the plans for the future. We have the flight model being worked on, the textures being painted and the interior and exterior models being developed as we speak. It is completely up to the developer(s) on whether it is released in the future as a significant amount of work has gone into it. However, once we reach a stage that we believe is realistic enough, there's always the possibility of it becoming public, but in the late future. Any news like this will be posted on the facebook, so stay tuned!

This is so much fun, to develop the ejection seat and pilot as a low poly version first, to give the cockpit a "filled" impression. It will give me a little more time to work out the high poly versions....:smilewink:
