Belphe
What if we use this: PDSTT with range >10NM: LTE 3s, loft, SARH/DL, missile does not go active (SARH/DL all the way to target) Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Belphe
Can a Phoenix even be launched sub 10NM without going active off the rails? The scenario I provided has been mentioned by HB themselves in this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4062564&postcount=1 I suppose it's possible.. If enemy has good enough intel (not simulated in DCS), he would probably get missile launch warning on top of STT warning, like any Fox 1. Sooo, there is going to be a launch warning sound present for the enemy or not? The below statement suggests that there won't be: Enemy will see the 14 nails on the RWR but will receive no TWS launch warning. The enemy RWR will alert them to incoming missile once it goes pit-bull. ..and since Pit-bull never occurs.... ? Edited March 31, 2020 by Belphe Never say never, Baby! draconus
Depending on the RWR there would be lock warning when STT and launch warning when launched in STT. Can a Phoenix even be launched sub 10NM without going active off the rails? No. Edited March 31, 2020 by draconus Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX3060 Rift S T16000M TWCS TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
captain_dalan
The scenario I provided has been mentioned by HB themselves in this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4062564&postcount=1 I suppose it's possible.. If i read these two correctly: " TWS or PDSTT with range <10NM, or PH ACT selected: LTE 3s, no loft, active directly after launch PSTT or BRSIT or (ACM cover up with no track or PSTT or PDSTT): LTE 1s (unless STT and angle >15deg then 3s), no loft, active immediately " Both are active immediately after launch Depending on the RWR there would be lock warning when STT and launch warning when launched in STT. No. Thought as much. Can a Phoenix even be launched sub 10NM without going active off the rails? Sub = "under" or "less than".. [<] What I'm asking about is "more than" [>] I never asked about sub 10NM. All I wanted to know was if the enemy gets a launch notification for a PDSTT shot from over 10NM when there is no Pit-bull. Now I know that it depends.. Thank you all for your input Edited April 1, 2020 by Belphe Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sam
What if we use this: PDSTT with range >10NM: LTE 3s, loft, SARH/DL, missile does not go active (SARH/DL all the way to target) From what I understand, you'll get the warning immediately after launch since it's an STT shot.
