Apache or Blackhawk???? Please

Can you imagine!?!? I do miss Jane's. Maybe there's a trend here. Jane's FA18 just saw the light of day thanks to ED. Could the Apache be next? LOL

Just imagine this video with DCS touch!:joystick::D

I just realized Jane's battle field simulation never became a reality. If ED can fix the issues with Combined Arms (in VR anyway), it would achieve Jane's vision.

Maybe it's the A6 intruder. I recall playing Spectrum Holobyte's Flight of the Intruder. I even lugged all my 286-16 computer to a friends house so we could play it with a null modem. How things have changed.

Whatever it is I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

I'm not so sure about that. Since the Magnitude 3 hype train desaster I'm cautious riding along trains.

It seems like it actually is an announcement, but it requires something else to be finished first (maybe licensing negotiations?).

I posted it earlier but it seems buried in all the hype and wishes. No chance for a Mag3 hype train derail ;)

Which is certainly not a surprise in the context of DCS World :)

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

I don't think they would have teased if licensing hadn't been finalized. I suspect the "something else" is a bit more polish on the South Atlantic terrain and a couple Falklands-era FC3-level aircraft modules. They'll all be early access, but may have had a few really-rough spots to fix before releasing as betas.

The 4 FC3 level modules coming out are dumbed down versions of full fidelity ones already avalaible. Although I would like to see the Falklands and a matching SHAR ready for alpha or beta!

Do you have a source on this ? I did not remember reading this :).

Yes, it is in the thread about FC4. There was a tiny miscommunication that it wasn't clear that the FC4 will be about existing full fidelity modules, instead new unseen aircrafts in FC3 level.

Many got upset about that clarification in the thread...

Anything newer than an Su-27 isn't happening, owing to Russian laws regarding accurate simulation of modern hardware.

We have Su-27S and all up to Su-35S is Su-27 just redesigned for sales reason.

Su-27M = Su-35

Su-27UB = Su-30

Su-27K = Su-33

Su-27M = Su-37

Su-27SM, Su-27SM-2 and Su-27SM-3 are updated from our variant and already far more modern than likely Russian law would allow to simulate...

So basically we couldn't get anything...

Then it would be a pretty bad suprise.
