For me, the boat is "Mustang"....I'm "Ghostrider XXX" VF-1. (Enemy are always MiG-28s too)

I was a crewman, on a MH-53 and flew out the the Kennedy several times and all the sailors said the Call sign for that Ship was Copper Penny... just saying

I added two alternatives for "Stennis" to VoiceAttack: "Johnny Reb" and "Rebel." :)

 

Rebel to be used if VA has trouble understanding Johnny Reb.

 

My radio wish is that there be an easier way to know your tail number other than external view (or whatever the Navy calls it, BUNO maybe?). This should show in the cockpit, or at the very least in the briefing screen.

Just FYI, the tail number you are referring to is called the modex, the buno is more like a serial number.
