And that leaves us with the last one. which I haven't identified yet. It looks like there is sea or a lake on the horizon, so there aren't too many possibilities. It could be Incirlik, but I'm not sure.

  • 2 weeks later...
Another desert / sand map.....

NOT.

Lebanon has green fields, sky slopes, nice Mediterranean beaches, Israel has huge farming fields, Turkey has also a very varied terrain, and only some areas of Syria are desertic...

Just take a look in Google maps..

Yes, not an attractive place to fly. Even the desert of Nevada is more interesting. I assume they will make also the Sea Harrier, Mirage, Super Etendar, the HMS Invencible and other planes and ships of that war to recreate the famous aeronaval combats. If not, this map is going to be a fiasco.

They are even working on ground units for that war.

They are also working on a HMS Invincible, Hermes and as well as several type 42 frigates. IA Pucara that Maybe, just maybe someday a full module. Mirage is Unknown for now. no SUE or Sea Harrier, but the map can be used for hypothetical scenarios just like every other map so far in DCS, we still have no map with a historical conflict, except for Normandy but then we are lacking on planes etc...

Oh and yes we definitely need Sheep! LOL
