Hey Procrastinator55, I was running the mission which is great but I cannot use my COMMS menu and was unable to link up with the tanker. Not sure if this is a problem on my end or the mission. All my key / stick bindings are the same and I'm running the single player mission. Any ideas?

I have a number of Hornet missions that are Multiplayer PvE. I have them available on my Discord. Most of them can be flown alone, but they may prove a bit difficult. I have a few missions in the Caucasus as well as the PG.

I generate them on a weekly basis as I host an episode style campaign on Saturdays at 2:30 EST. I have 4 regular guys but I usually build the missions for up to 8. I also fly in the evenings (US Central Time) during the week so if you see me on discord and I have time I'll host/run one with you.

F/A-18C Strike Fighter (Full mission version)

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3303178/

This is a remix of Wags' "Hornet Mission of the Week" - fleshed out to include a carrier start, additional briefing docs, additional ambient radio messages for the ingress, and a few small revisions. The "core" mission remains the same - fight your way into the AO, bomb the target, and get home in one piece.

This mission requires the Persian Gulf map (and the F/A-18C).

STRIKE.jpg

Strike%20Fighter%20mapV2.jpg

-------------------------

Ingress to target as briefed - push from WP2 at 1745L, maintain formation with your flight lead to the AO.

Destroy the SOC at waypoint 4, ref briefing images.

Multiple SA-6 SAM sites are situated in the Shiraz area. These will be targeted by the SEAD flight. Short-range air defenses in the target area include 23m AAA and SA-13 SAMs.

Return safely to the Stennis - ref briefing images for comms/beacon information.

Thanks! I find it's kind of akward starting mid-air in VR.

Er, I disabled easy comms and the sort since the setting kinda screws with the way i do the radio transmissions. So maybe if you have those settings enabled?

My first contribution.

Here is a mission I made called "Marines on the Beach". In this scenario Iran is going to close the Straits of Hormuz so POTUS sends in the marines to keep it open and they need air support to hold their beachhead. The briefing spells everything out pretty well so I won't go into that.

This mission is best with at least 3 pilots, but can be flown alone if you like, and has your choice of Hornets or Harriers from 2 carriers and includes tankers if you need them. One note, the Qeshm airport MUST be bombed for the mission to proceed. There is a trigger zone there that HAS to be tripped for anything further to happen.

I'm a little shy about posting this because I'm sure there are some very professional missions in this topic but my squad mates enjoyed flying this so I hope you will too.

Have fun and remember....the marines are counting on you!!!

Hey Sparky, I'm new to the mission editing and such as well. I use Oculus RIFT and I have major issues flying the sim at night. It's something I need to figure out. Is there a way to make this a day mission?

You can change the time by going into Mission Editor and going into the "weather" tab on the upper left, it will have a small picture of like a cloud. Then at the top right you can change the date and/or time. Also, have you used your night vision goggles? they make it like daytime. I fly in VR also and night vision goggles work just fine.

If you have Discord PM me your user ID and number and I will send you a friend request and we can fly it together if you like. I like finding new guys to fly with.

I downloaded and ran this mission last night and the ambient radios chatter (although very immersive) is too loud. Is there a way to reduce the volume on just this without re doing the sound file the mission designer used?

which mission? Im asumming it´s ED Iron hand on NTTR.

F/A-18 2Ship

Escort E-3 (starting from Batumi) from Rendezvous point to Destination Airport (Mineralnye).

Approx. 1 hour flight in the morning on June 2018

good for Training to stay on Speed and Alt to Escort and maybe react to threat.

- Catapult Start hot

- A2A armament, no tanks (had 3000 fuel left on destination)

- 50% Chance of intercept flight.

- no goals, just have a nice time and play with systems of F/A 18

Feel free to edit file or share with your friends.

Just did this Mission.

Was a very nice flight, had to shoot down two MIG.

Enjoyed the Mission very much.

Before you call everything a "bug": RTFM & try again! Thank you. :music_whistling:
