Helios1138
Is there a list of files that I should manually save if I want to move the game to a different drive or event a different PC so that I would not lose my mods, missions, settings, controls setup, etc. I know that some of the files are stored in "Saved Games", but I assume it's not everything? Rudel_chw
.. but I assume it's not everything? On my DCS Backups, I save the whole /Saved Games/DCS/ folder tree .. if you want to save space, prior to the backup, delete the fxo and metashaders2 folders .. all the rest is useful: Control Bindings, View settings, Custom Missions & Campaigns, Screenshots, Tracks, Mods, Static Templates, the LogBook (inside /MissionEditor), Liveries ... :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600X - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia GTX1070ti - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar - Oculus Rift CV1 Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Helios1138
Oh, so /Saved Games/DCS/ does contain everything? There's nothing in the game directory itself that I need to save?
Art-J
No, unless you installed some custom mods or skins over there. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Rudel_chw
... There's nothing in the game directory itself that I need to save? Well, since you are moving the game folder to another drive or PC, you are already in fact saving it :) ... this way you dont need to download the game again, saving a lot of time. You may want to document the DCS desktop icons configuration, so that you may re-create them on the new PC.
