A lot I hope... dual GTX2080s , AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X , 128GB RAM

But I guess I'll find out WHEN I get my adapter plate from Corsair and I can start it up.

Killer specs....you are aware DCS not thought to be SLI compatible ? 6 or 7 monitors would seem to be a stretch :)

I won't be running in SLI, three main monitors will be in surround on one card and the other three or four will be extensions on the second card. Nvidia told me if I use SLI I can only have three monitors in surround with one extension

Whoa! Very impressive.

I hope you are not too disappointed by the actual result because it seems to me it will be a couple of years before DCS can fully use such ressources.

In any case, I am interested in seeing what is the maximum practical performance of DCS is at this point in time so your system seems like the ideal 'no holds barred no budget limit' testbench.

There are tremendous resources on the forum and out there for tuning, I'm expecting you will need to adjust a few things just because of the sheer number of monitors your running.

METEOP

i5-6600K OC@4.5Ghz, GTX 1070 OC, 32Gb RAM, M.2 NVMe SSD

Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Rudder Pro, Trackhat Clip, 1080p projector, Custom touchscreen rig, Ikarus touchscreen panel, Voice Attack, ReShade, Simshaker Aviator

I don't think I'll be disappointed, I've had DCS for a few years now but my old computer died a couple years ago and it has been unplayable on my current system so just being able to play it again on my new computer will be worth any result. It's been about 12 years since I build a new gaming system so I figured I better 'buck up' now and maybe it'll last me a few years.

I'm sure it will take a lot of tweaking to get it running right.

Does rendering a second monitor with a second gpu improve FPS much?

I really don't know. I've never had a system quite like this before , so I guess I will find out. I've had two monitors before in crossfire, but that was a long time ago and this one is a totally different Beast

Final few more things and it will be ready.

Finally got and installed the other two touch screens, backup PS, key pad by the throttle and sound system.

Tomorrow the computer goes in and finish up the wiring.

  • 2 weeks later...

Things are finally up and running and I'm sort of happy with it. Getting steady high 70s to 80s fps even on almost everything maxed just to test. but the cockpit (A-10C) seems really dark at that high settings.

Screen_190129_212630.thumb.jpg.9d1582d8b7cabc70915dbd906a56cf70.jpg

These are my settings

Screen_190129_213802.thumb.png.613232d8bc3ba8350c08c6d4c88583b1.png

Maybe someone has suggestion on setting to brighten it up a bit without losing too much texture quality?

I know I just set this all up but I've decided to change my monitors. With three monitor main screen set up, my 37.5" ultrawide is just too wide for a room only 5' wide. The angle of my side monitors is just not right and since it's 21:9 (3840x1600) and the two side monitors are 27" Flat 1920x1080s, it's just not good enough.

20190130_215831.thumb.jpg.eb939e14ac06c5d17a29de6efa9699fe.jpg

So I have two 27" and one 37.5 ultrawide for sale

Three 31" curved monitors are even slightly large then this setup, so that leaves me with three 27" curved monitors.

I was thinking of going with this

24-011-198-V09.thumb.jpg.0dfb0a255a98ad4d4ee873fa57bfbbd1.jpg

Three Acer XZ271U 27" Curved 1440p 144Hz 1ms Gaming Monitors

They are in my cart and my fingers on the trigger.

Unless anyone has any other ideas?

You might want to try a Gamma setting higher than 1.5

FWIW, the native Gamma on my Dell 27” monitor is 2.2 (confirmed with weekly hardware calibration) but at least give 1.8 or so a shot.

That is one helluva setup you’ve got!
