It is not realistic

Just curious - why is it not realistic?

Do you think pilots don't carry binoculars? You would be surprised how many cockpits you'd find a pair of image stabilized cannons/zeiss stowed, especially pre lantirn / lightening pod days.

The spyglass zoom / VR zoom is a way to replicate that, although that said the zoom is actually less!

As for the new vr zoom speed - such a great improvement!!

It is not realistic

Neither is the telescopic zoom for monitor users, but at least vr users now have parity.

Surely you weren’t suggesting that you’d like vr users to be at a disadvantage?

To Eagle Dynamics team.

Would it be possible to add the new VR zoom and spyglass

as bindable views also for 2D monitors?

I found them great in VR, but I still often fly in 2D. The zoom speed and amount of zoom is excellent and it would be nice to enjoy it on regular monitor aswell.

Thanks!

So I'm getting a severe cross eye effect with both regular and spyglass zoom in vr. Using a pimax 5k+ anyone have a similar problem or know a solution.

All Pimax users have the problem without PP and there is a solution for the standard VR (I will add a new keybinding and settings for the spyglass for next release): https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=242134

P8700K @4.8 GHz, 3080ti, 32 GB RAM, HP reverb Pro.

I spend my time making 3dmigoto VR mods for BoS and DCS instead of flying, see https://www.patreon.com/lefuneste

No need for that. Just use zoom axis feature that works in 2D, unlike in VR.
