Hotas Cougar Throttle İncreasing by İtself

Hi everybody,

İ have a problem my Hotas Cougar.

İn game my throttle increasing by itself.

İ mean while in parking breaks on in Falcon 4.0 BMs 4.33 and Throttle is on idle position,i see that in cocpit throttle moving forward.Again my Hotas in idle position.

Any idea?

Most likely, the potentiometer of the throttle axis is worn out .. contact Thrustmaster Tech Support (https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/) to check if they still sell the spare

 

 

... its not difficult to replace, tough you do have to solder three wires to the new potentiometer ... in my case, I ask an electronics friend to do the soldering for me :)

You need potentiometer #6000164

 

 

I hope they still sell it, as its almost impossible to find on electronics suppliers.

 

 

Edit: You could also try to clean the Pot before going for a new one, but in my experience cleaning is just an interim solution at best ... here are instructions on how to clean:

Or can do better, replace that obsolete* thing called potentiometer with HALL sensor. :)

 

Is Just not "PnP, need make a support.

And the original CTS potentiometer CTS251B15F104B2NB used by Cougar is obsolete in CTS catalog.
