GGTharos
This type of message is typically given when some redist is missing ... can you try installing also 2005 and 2008 redist? 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

davyt
So how would one go about getting the ERI functions without leavu? I don't have a second monitor, but target stepping etc would be nice.
RvEYoda
So how would one go about getting the ERI functions without leavu? I don't have a second monitor, but target stepping etc would be nice. Just download the export scripts zip and overwrite your current ones. (Check export.lua if you want to keep the current ones) S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). 71st_Mastiff
never mind I figured it out. Evening Sobe Stand alone PC (no Client/Host) This is how I interpreted the (shall we say) vague instructions. My OS is Windows 7, 64bit. 1. Unzip the Everything.zip 2. Copy all files from the Everything folder to C:/Program Files (x86)/Eagle Dynamics/LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2/Config (folder). 3. I then copied the following LUA files to the Config/Export folder: class Config ERI_radar (see note 4) Export LEAVU_fcns lua_keys lua_keys_win7 math_fcns netClient netSec Vector Yoda_Export 4. Use the Leavu+ERI compatibility LUA file if you want to use ERI Radar data and LEAVU together (I don't see why you wouldn't want to use both)? 5. Make a Folder on C:/ called LEAVU and from the LEAVU/Java folder copy: and do what with it? KeyBindings (Folder) - (See note 13) lib (Folder) LEAVU2 (Java App) 6. Make sure you download and install the JAVA VM (most of us are using the 32bit JRE, even on Windows 7 64bit, something to do with IE usually being 32bit even on 64bit systems): http://java.com/en/download/ie_manual.jsp?locale=en&host=java.com:80 I did that but it does not show up in those folders. Why? 7. From the Leavu/dll/jre32 folder copy all the dll files (6 of them) to your 'Windows/SysWOW64' (on Windows 7) folder. once again I did install JVM and its not showing up in the system32 or sysWoW64 folder. 8. From you C:/LEAVU folder, double click the LEAVU2 java .exe file. 9. Once LEAVU 2.0 is running Click the Instruments Tab > Click on LoF15MFD: a. No Frame: (if positioning to another monitor a Samsung 7" U70 for example) which has a pair of Cougar MFD's around them. b. Add: if you are using a touchscreen or your mouse to activate the various tabs on the MFD. 10. Click on the LoF15 MFD that is displayed in the Active Window > Bind Keys 11. Click on MFD1Keys > Load to load the default keybinds 12. Click the LoF15MFD in the Available window, if you want to add a second MFD then follow instructions from step 10. But load the MFD2 key bind file instead. 13. A note about using the keybinds with a Cougar MFD. The keybinds are numbered 0 thru 19. However, they should really be numbered 0-9, then 19 - 10. (For example, DCLT is the bottom right button of the MFD (button 10) in accordance with LEAVU's MFD1Keys this keypress was allocated to Button 19 (which is at the top left of the MFD). Reversing the 10 - 19 numbers sorted it out for me. Hope this helps others who are having snags getting LEAVU to work. Nails
Good morning Mastiff - My comments are in BOLD sir 5. Make a Folder on C:/ called LEAVU and from the LEAVU/Java folder copy: and do what with it? KeyBindings (Folder) - (See note 13) lib (Folder) LEAVU2 (Java App) Make a Folder on C:/ called LEAVU and from the LEAVU/Java folder (open the Java folder that you downloaded from Yoda's website, and you will see the Keybindings folder, lib folder, and LEAVU2 Jar .exe file) - copy these files in to your newly created LEAVU folder on C 6. Make sure you download and install the JAVA VM (most of us are using the 32bit JRE, even on Windows 7 64bit, something to do with IE usually being 32bit even on 64bit systems): http://java.com/en/download/ie_manua...st=java.com:80 I did that but it does not show up in those folders. Why? You have actually just downloaded and installed the JAVA VM - this installs itself elsewhere on your system, not in to the LEAVU folder! Please note that in order to install the Java Virtual Machine on a computer, you will need to have "Administrator Rights" for that computer 7. From the Leavu/dll/jre32 folder copy all the dll files (6 of them) to your 'Windows/SysWOW64' (on Windows 7) folder. once again I did install JVM and its not showing up in the system32 or sysWoW64 folder. Not sure on this. I just did a normal copy and paste to the SysWoW64 folder and they were there - please try again. I hope this helps you out ...
