Reflected
Yepp, that's the first one with heavy flak. You're getting the issue near Le Havre, correct? Please post your Dxdiag here. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
MADLOU1
]I think so. It occurs as soon as the bombers show up on both the reduced plane version and the regular version. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=211858&stc=1&d=1560442513DxDiag.txt Edited June 13, 2019 by MADLOU1
philstyle
Any news on this? Have folks been able to get through this mission recently? The amount of time required to spawn/ start and fly to the coast to test if it is still a problem puts me off trying until it is addressed. . . . Reflected
Phil, someone suggested to turn off the wake turbulence because it does not scale well with big bomber formations. Maybe you could give it a try? I still suspect the flak and the gunners, though... Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

Until it's fixed, or unless I can get a mission with an air-start right before the RV with the bombers, I'm not really prepared to spend the time flying along from Tangmere just to check if it's broken or not. philstyle
I tried flying this again today. FPS has deteriorated substantially, and now comes to a halt well before the flak areas. Will have to wait until I buy a new PC before I try this again On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/philstylenz Storm of War WW2 server website: https://stormofwar.net/

ED Team NineLine Posted August 19, 2019 ED Team Share Posted August 19, 2019 Did you share your graphic settings Phil? If not can you? Visibility of map and static objects increased substantially this last update. Reflected
Out of curiosity I tested this mission on my Dell G3 15 laptop, and it ran smoothly. I have no idea what may cause your FPS drop, but I wish you find the solution so that you can progress with the campaign. TinPony
I’m having the same issue but I can’t get past mission 1, frames drop to just a few then it’s unplayable. Can you supply your dxdiag and maybe a shot of your options? Also is this in VR or not? BugsBunny
I had the problem whenever bombers appeared in wwii missions. Turning off wake turbulence fixed it after a few frustrating days of trying everything I could think of.

Darby, Virtual Squadron Commander, RAF No.
TinPony
Sorry for the late reply Nineline; all fixed I just turned off wake turbulence and it’s running super smooth again :) I’m a %100 VR pilot these days. Interestingly enough : decent specs (as I have learnt) don’t always translate into good game performance or FPS in VR, sure in 2D with dual cards running I was smashing 120FPS but VR is such a different beast which is the sole reason I haven’t upgraded my video card as I don’t believe it would make any difference at all. philstyle
SOLVED! Since upgrading to a new PC, this mission now runs well, and I flew it last night form start to finish without FPS losses. Reflected
That's brilliant! Did you turn off wake turbulence too? With that one off, I can run the missions on a laptop. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Myleniskaya
Hi guy, in first: i love u campaign, thx for this work =) i reply this topic to confirm a thing: if FPS drop down, disable wake turbulence is crucial i've an old i7-2700k with 16gb, SSD and 970 gtx msi gaming, my dcs work +60fps with all, but if i turn ON turbulence ... drop to 5 fps in some solo campaign WWII :joystick: [sIGPIC]http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/208281dombannire2Copie.png[/sIGPIC]
Reflected
Yes, actually, I will update all my missions so that they enforce wake turbulence off. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Pyrocumulous
Wow, turning off Wake Turbulence makes a huge difference in performance in missions with large bomber formations, such as #5 that became a slideshow. My Ryzen 3900X can actually keep VR frametimes under control now. My performance in gunning bombers is now substantially better too now that I can get in close without getting tossed 1 Pimax Crystal, Asus ProArt X670E-Creator, Ryzen 7950X3D, 64gb DDR5, RTX 4090 FE, Magic Trackpad 3, Warthog HOTAS, Warthog Throttle and TPR pedals.
