New cockpit - default head position in VR

Is it correct? It feels too far forward, and perhaps too high*. I can't see the numbers in the HUD when I recentre.

Cockpit looks great, btw. Thank you. To be picky though - I'm not too keen on the reflections on the side windows.

*It's possible I might have tinkered with view lua files in the past, but I don't think so. Is everyone else seeing this (Rift S)?

Yea the windowreflections are bit harsh, same with the a10c cockpit and probably other modules

It appears that since the 2.5.6. update the brightness/contrast is higher.

especially noticable with the targeting pod of the a10 at nighttime.

You can probably lower the gamma in dcs to counter this , haven't tried this myself though.

I just double checked and head position seems fine to me, might be a little bit more forward than the old cockpit.

But i can read all the info in the hud.

(I'm also on the rift-s)

Yep seems good to me -

IN VR not sure if many people are aware of this however if you double click your mouse and use the scroll wheel it will horizontally move you forward and back within the pit.

When you hit recenter view in VR it will then recenter to this position.

I tend to use it quite a bit particular in the 14 as like to get a wider view than nose being stuck to the hud!

Also helpful during some manual start ups where have to get at switched at the back, say A10 and harrier spring to mind.

Well, this is what I see when I recentre.

Notice that I can't see the altitude value at the top right on the HUD. I can if I (uncomfortably) tilt my head down.

I take the point that some feel it's too low and close to the stick. I only said "too high" previously because of the above.

This is the entry in my snapviews.lua:

[13] = {--default view

viewAngle = 89.777542,--FOV

hAngle = 0.000000,

vAngle = -15.592758,

x_trans = 0.000000,

y_trans = 0.000000,

z_trans = 0.000000,

rollAngle = 0.000000,

},

Pls could someone check whether their settings are the same?

Thank you for that - I did not know. I'll give it a try. I take it that the change isn't permanent?
