Thanks, Vibora. Just want to give back a little for a module I've gotten many hours of enjoyment out of.

With target, heading and range. Put in some radio effects together with the text message,
maybe even a voiceover or two
Oh, by message, I just meant a simple text message saying that the missile has located something on its radar. And to be realistic, it wouldn't be overly detailed. Something like 'large ship detected, 52 degrees, 30 nm' or 'small ship detected, 61 degrees, 18 nm'. Just to take the place of a radar blip that you would see in say the Viggen.

But you have some interesting ideas there as well.

My idea was just to add sounds as the text message is showing, but a mute message works too.
Think you are on the right track with the simple relism of the message.
I like it

Just found this web site …

https://military.wikia.org/wiki/Sea_Eagle_(missile)

Don't know how accurate the info is but it says the radar range is 30 km. So, I'll use that as my max detection range in my script unless someone can give me a verified number.

Anyway, going to finish the mark point logic first before I tackle 'opportunity mode'. Hope to have the initial functionality done sometime in the next few weeks.

One thing to consider. Does Sea Eagle support BOL (bearing on launch) mode like DCS Harpoon and RB-15? Wiki article suggests it, but I have not found a technical article on it. It is a simple point and shoot mode.
....
Couple years (or more) ago Combat Aircraft magazine featured a Sea Harrier pilot interview (spread over 2 issues). The pilot talked about the Balkan ops in the 90's, and that they flew with Sea Eagle training rounds to refresh ops/tactics to counter a possible Fast Attack Craft threat. He mentioned the visual Bearing-Only mode...

I had this thought for a while. I put a script together that allows the use of mark panels @ https://github.com/chump29/DCS_Mod/b...r/seaEagle.lua

To use it, include the MiST script before this one in your mission. In game, create a marker with the word SEAEAGLE in it (case does not matter) and it will detect and target a random ship group within 1NM of the marker.

Feel free to use it how you want, or make suggestions.
