Post cool pics and vids here! Despite the module still being so mysterious, I'm warming to the upcoming Huey, reading stories and watching videos. Here are some;

The firepower is truly awesome! Reading the stories, of for example Seawolves, makes you really appreciate it.

I was born at and grew up near Mac Dill AFB in Tampa, FL.

F-4 Phantoms and UH-1 Hueys passed overhead on a daily basis.

The UH-1s flew fairly low.

You could make out the face of the crew chief hanging out the side door.

If you waved at them, they always waved back.

I have had one helo ride in my whole life and it just happened to be hanging out the side door of a UH-1 low and fast down the Hudson River near West Point, NY.

Playing the video and hearing the distinctive "whup" "whup" "whup" of the UH-1 takes me back to those times.

I absolutely love UH-1s and AH-1s, so I really hope this release lives up to my expectations.

Some great Vietnam photos in general including many Hueys. Some of them are graphic.

It's obvious, that those men REALLY love their work :gun_rifle::lol:

2:36 - look at that copilot's sights to steer the guns! I never saw this, I had always wondered, how the aiming/steering of them is done... :huh:

I hope, that it will be implemented.

You aim roughly with that sight, and let the minigun spin, you look where the tracers are going, and adjust the rest of 3 second burst visually.

The XM/M-5 nose mounted 40mm grenade launched had similar sight:

The United States Army's "The Big Picture" presents the story of the helicopter door gunner, nicknamed "Shotgun Rider." This new addition to the helicopter crew would undergo a rigorous training program before being deployed to active duty in the Vietnam war.

The film features many scenes of the Bell UH-1 Iroquois, a helicopter synonymous with the Shotgun Rider and Vietnam War.
