DCS Crashing at high altitude

so i have a reoccurring bug. anytime i either load Mig and fly to or start the game at over ~25,000 the whole thing crashes to desktop. i've never seen this before. is this happening to anyone else?

what is happening is:

1) take off full afterburner

2) climb quickly to high altitude

3) after reaching around ~25,000 feet, DCS crashes to desktop without explanation

OR

1) create mission in ME and put Mig at starting point ~35,000 feet

2) load mission

3) crash to desktop

Do you have any mods installed?! There are different "Manifest hash check failed" error messages in the log.

Maybe try disabling them if there are any or try a repair.

The following seems to me not related to the MiG, but rather to terrain (edterrain4.dll), maybe bound to the above mentioned problems?
