Didn't crash though :) Set up a mission in the editor with clear weather and doing okay for a first attempt (imho). A bit of a curve on the pitch and roll axes helps a lot too! (Set mine to 20). I've had to restart the downloads 4 times and the rates are 9kb because I can't access the US mirrors. I am not very happy about the download rates in this day and age to be getting 9-10kb is rediculous.
