Will bandits be able to notch against the APG-73?

It's an upgraded APG65 which is a pulse-Doppler radar, but I was wondering if the upgrade made it so you couldn't notch against it.

It has some tricks up its sleeve to engage notching targets. For one it has memory tracking which will let a target 'coast' through the notch (not tracking it) and predict where the target is moving.

You also have the ability to select between a "normal" or "wide" doppler notch. (in the radar attack data sub-page. and yes ED has the option there but idk if it works).

If the target is jamming, you can track its jammer in SIL (silent) mode.

You also have MSI trackfiles which means you can continue to track the target via D/L, FLIR, etc.

given that there will be a week before the Hornet drops, after the PG map, will the map come with at least an instant access mission or three, for other aircraft, or will we need to await the aircraft mod devs or community members creating a way for us to use it?

I expect that the Hornet will come with some missions, and some appear to already be available, but will we be able to fly the PG map before the Hornet drops?

will we get real life Aggressor squadron skins for the F/A-18C? Most Aggressor squadrons have been using F/A-18A models of the Hornet.

Also, will we have the ability to switch helmets if we truly want a "legacy" Hornet... So, ability to define in mission editor the type of helmet the pilot is wearing?

This would come in handy for accuracy in historical scenarios where JHMCS was not around yet, well and the AIM-120 wasn't either or AIM-9X.

They've already shown aggressor skins, though unsure about the JHMCS removal ability, probably not. They're making a Navy Lot 20, nothing on catering to earlier versions, except for some skins. Check out the wislist subforum and if it hasn't already been asked, file a request there.

Or are you talking about the fictitious "Russian F/A-18C" that ED added no doubt for adding F/A-18C to red side for multiplayer server environment?

I don't think that would be considered the same as the Agressor squadrons used by the USN and USMC operating from Yuma, Fallon, and Oceana.

where was it that they showed off the Aggressor skins? I never saw them, specifically the fighting Omars out of NAS Oceana and those out of Fallon from the NSAWC

ah, Okay they got the splinter one in there... What about the desert flogger lizard scheme and the blue flanker scheme? Also, Fighting Omars just added paint jobs to their F-18s that makes them look like the Russian aircraft used in Syria.

I think i've seen the desert flogger lizard scheme, but can't provide you with video evidence, but

you have evidence of the Blue Flanker scheme.

Pretty cool to see the Hornet Aggressors toting Su-34 paint schemes, thanks for that link.

That flanker skin must be the fake Russian skin and not the USN aggressor skin by the looks of it... I can see the design bureau logo on the front of the nose but the USN aggressors have no such marking nor the marking of the Russian federation flag on the twin tails.

Are you talking about the red star here? because you can see the red star on the splinter camo F-18 in your link:

no i'm talking about the Russian Federation flag on the rudder of the F/A-18C

Sorry for my stupid question(s), i'm not familiar with this topic. But SkateZilla posted a link to the Agressor skin https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3422851&postcount=38 and for me it looks ike the splinter Agressor skin in your link http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/5457/us-navy-adversary-hornet-emerges-wearing-russias-latest-combat-jet-scheme

I cant see the flag of the russian federation on any of them, that's why i asked about the red star marking.

In frame 8:30 of the fictional russian airforce you can see what I am talking about. This is not the same skin and markings as USN Aggressors blue flanker skin seen here:

I'm adding a few links to aggressor F-18 paint jobs, of course you have your standard NSAWC skins from Fallon too but those are already on the AI hornet ingame so I assume those will be ported over to the new F/A-18C when it comes out.

I tell you what, they sure had a crap ton of different aggressor paint jobs, but the most common are the blue and the desert colors.

The Fictional Liveries aren't Aggressor Sqns, they are Fictional to allow the countries to use the Aircraft in missions if needed.

Yes, I understand that... However there are people out there that think otherwise... I was just saying the fictional skins are not the ones used by aggressor squadrons, but rather ED made them based on Russian federation aircraft.

What time on May 30th will the Hornet be available for download? Will it be available at 12:00am Moscow time or will it be released at the start of the business day in Moscow or some other part of the world? What has happened with past modules like the Harrier, Mirage, F-5 as far as the time of day they are available for download on the first day of release? I was also expecting that there might be some scaling of the download process so servers aren't overloaded; i.e. the Hornet might not be available for download for everyone right away.

I would guess at around 5pm or 6pm UTC+2. The usual time, updates are rolled out.
