Radar contact lost after last update (15/8/2018)

After the last update i noticed that the contacts on the radar disappear, both with lock and without.

I found myself unable to detect them even if in visual or in boresight.

Before the update worked fine.

Quoted, the radar lost lock like in march, is not even possible to do a slight crank... Even if You go straight the lock is lost..

Another problem is the contact not being picked at all... I have in two occasion enemy bandit at 20nm far, level and in visual but nothing on radar... I was unable to pick target even on boresight under 10nm, only with the Magic I was able to engage and only with ir lock.

i lost lock in a head on situation.

just right in the moment i wanted to fire, the lock was lost, the enemy plane on the other hand was still right in front of me

current open beta build

What was the range ?

STT or TWS ?

What was the relative altitude ?

Did he used beam maneuver ?

What type of plane ?

AI or human pilot ?

Did he use jammer ?

...a track would help us to help you :smilewink:

sorry i don't have a track or data to provide

it was an AI Mig21 head on, Range was about 9-10NM (530D fire range), altitude about 4000ft (both planes approximately)

my radar cone was right head on him, so he really didn't slip out of it

i was in TWS mode

i cannot tell if the mig21 is able to use a jammer ...

next time i'll use a track i promise ;)

Your radar scope would tell’you that. A dashed line on jammer azimuth and a row of fake contact V without closing velocity.

For MiG-21, maybe there would be a pod, but that would be uncommon.

Within 10Nm range, the preferred mode to lock would be a close combat mode.

VIS (HUD search) is really efficient.

That close the it’s difficult to search head down. The scan zone is narrow and and everything is moving fast.
