Windows 10 updates

Recommended Posts

Hello

What is the best practice method if you prefer to reinstall Windows 10 during each major os update ?

I use a dedicated os for DCS that I want clean and lighter as possible and I know it... it will start to get excited ^^ So I will do something and prepare myself to upgrade to spring update.

So I take the risk by asking this question... lol

If I copy all EA folders, is there a way to save activation keys and reinsert them in the new os registry (on the same machine obviously) ?

Thank you !

Just deactivate any modules that are still using starforce before doing the OS change, and make sure you are not in offline mode.

Yes this is what I actually do, but I would like to know if maybe there is a way without deactivate them. I think it could be cause it's absolute same hardware (but not same sid it's true).

not possible if you are changing the OS, the registry will be deleted and all stored activation data

also your hardwareID will change
