Want to Get 2.0 Nevada Map, But I am a Steam Customer.

Quick question.

I am trying to do 100% of purchases over steam so my library all in one place. But in my understanding at the moment 2.0 and Nevada maps are available ONLY via stand-alone DCS World game (NOT STEAM VERSION).

So after buying Nevada Map so I can play 2.0 and Nevada as stand alone will I be able to use SAME keys to activate Nevada Map on Steam once it's available on Steam ?

Because if not, in that case I'll need to Buy Nevada key for Stand alone AND Nevada key for steam, that's double dip.

On 2.0 beside Nevada map what exactly is playable ? I mean Can I play my SU25T on it ? Or Can I play KA50 Republic on it ? Or 2.0 is Nevada Map only, in that case if it's Nevada only what Planes are available to play on that Nevada Map.

No, as far as I know, keys bought on the E-shop of ED are only valid on standalone version. STEAM Keys instead are valid on standalone too.

If you try adding to the cart a product on the E-shop you can read this text in red: Not for STEAM!

Keys purchased in the ED e-shop can not be used on Steam.

AFAIK, all aircraft are available in DCS 2.0. There might be one or two exceptions since I don't own them all.

Keys purchased directly in ED's Store are not accepted by Steam.

Otherwise the Standalone accepts Keys bought on Steam.

2.0 has only the testbed to test Nevada NTTR and map technology on Alpha Status. Wags tell some time ago, ED working on 2.5 Unified version 2.5 (1.5 + 2.0) That future version get the new Caucasus map update (with improvements) to 2.0 EDGE technology and Nevada NTTR map. You can use all aircraft, helos and CA on NTTR, but some campaigns has exclusive of NTTR. Others, as Republic campaign has exclusive of Caucasus map Theater. You can use Su-27T and TF-51D on NTTR Nevada, free.

when will the maps be fused together ???

its a pain only having one map, then buying the other is a different version install

Wags tell about the 2.5 version coming from late summer to late 2016 (actually ED working on that version as a priority), take account other two maps coming to late 2016, Hormuz Straight and Normandy WW2, surely with 2.5 version or later.

Oh man this sucks. I really want to try out new Nevada Map. But being it's not compatible with Steam in the future it's a waiter for me.

Also in my understanding 2.0 or 2.5 whatever is it that will come to Steam will have a lot better engine AKA better FPS.

No, that engine is already available on steam. Unless you subscribed to the Legacy version under options -> Betas.

currently No and we have no info on the future possibilities of this.

So, with my nevada map given as a gift for A10 early buyer, cannot used anymore? i have dcs a10 and black shark 2 from e-shop but with steam keys redeemed.:helpsmilie:
