Is there any support here?

"eternal alpha" is perhaps a bit exaggerated, the features announced on the store page are in, and while some of the features break now and then with DCS updates like any other module, it remains the best implementation of the Huey in a sim (convincing ground effect and VRS are pretty rare to come across, even in X-Plane).

The UH-1 Iroquois, better known as the Huey, is one of the most iconic helicopters in the world. Indispensable in the Vietnam War, the Huey continues to serve in both military and civilian roles around the globe today. DCS: UH-1H features an updated model of the helicopter armed with rockets, gatling guns, and door gunner machine guns. The simulation offers both extreme realism in its flight and systems modeling as well as a variety of options to reduce the learning curve for new players, including an Easy flight mode. DCS: UH-1H provides multiple player positions, including pilot, co-pilot, and door gunners. A handcrafted storyline campaign is included as well as a number of single missions and a training course.

All that seems correct, except maybe the "training course" is a bit exaggerated, it's just 3 basic training missions.

I recommend the UN-Campaign that comes with the UH-1H, after basic handling and landing skills are covered. It contains a very gradual and interesting learning curve that familiarizes with things like escort flying, ADF / FM beacon navigation, mountain and night flying and weapons employment... and has a nice story that keeps it interesting.

As for the "eternal alpha", the Huey is released for quite some time. It still receives updates and enhancements, as all DCS modules.

I do hope one of the future enhancements will be a multicrew-multiplayer implementation, but it was not part nor promised for the initial release. They wanted to look into this and add this feature at a later time. There was also discussion about the dependency on DCS to provide the mechanism for this.

Now, the earliest Multicrew implementation for multiplayer was the L-39C and for the Helos the “experimental" implementation for the Gazelle and that still seems to be pretty difficult to handle/sync.

Now, what I never understood, is why we not have gotten the simple option to fly in the left seat as "navigator" without any or limited interaction. I could pretty much live with such an intermediate solution, but I am aware others won't.

I still hope they find the time during the overhaul of the Huey for 2.5 to look into Multicrew, though. :)

I second that, this campaign, and the Agro campaign which also has some training (including auto-rotation landing!), really help getting into that module!

Oh yes, that would be awesome :)

In all modules with 2+ seats, actually. We're probably too far from an AI capable of flying realistically in an ASM (Advanced Systems Modeling) aircraft, but there would be much to discover and enjoy as a copilot/RIO/...
