I do not see the problem.

 

if everyone has the chance to get it at the same time everybody wins.

 

Backers get access, user's can buy it if they don't have it, everyone who has it can fly together.

 

Rewording it now serves no purpose in my opinion, you still get the reward whatever happens

a distinction was made back then for two different rewards, which now turns out to be the same reward...and the description should reflect that.

I understand where David is coming from.

The higher tier reward would have given a bit of an early look at the Normandy map, but as Sith said EDs development path doesn't really allow for that.

It just means that that reward has lost a little bit of it's value in that regard.

I think it is best that everyone has access to the map at the same time, it will make for a much better MP situation and at the end of the day I'm happy that we are getting a beautiful WW2 environment to fly around in and cause general mayhem.

Maybe ED could clarify the higher tier rewards a little bit. A while ago Sith mentioned that the physical rewards such as shirts, caps and calendars would be given out at the completion of the DCS WW2 project. Does that mean when we get the Normandy map or the P 47 or do we have to wait for the ME 262? I may have to switch to a larger shirt size....:thumbup:

Perhaps a poster of WW2 nose art beauties would make up for the lost early access.:smilewink:

I understood you also David. The way the reward system is written up now it is a bit misleading and that's what I wanted clarification on as well. From what I gather now is when early access for Normandy is launched, anyone that contributed $20+ in the KS will get early access. Perhaps the rewards page should be edited to change "Normandy Map, and Normandy Map Alpha access" to Normandy Map Early Access at all tiers at $20+.

The backer page only exists if you backed the original kickstarter. The Normandy map will be out before the Jug. They seem to be having trouble finding enough accurate information on the Jugs performance and I am not sure how that will effect when it is released, but it not nearly finished like the map. If they can get the information the Jug will be a full fidelity module like all the WW2 modules.

I'm more than happy with what ED is doing, even without the extras, at the end of the day we will all have a great WW2 sim and that is the best reward of all.

I'll try and figure out what complete is, I would think it would be all aircraft and map, but will see if I can find out.

 

Dont hold your breath in getting any more out of ED, I dont see them tweaking the rewards anymore.

Sorry if this is the wrong place but I've got the Silver backers package from the original kickstarter. It says I get the Normandy Map. Does that include the assets pack as well or is that separate?

Yes, you get the assets if you get the Normandy map as part of your Kickstarter rewards.

Yep me too, lucky I saw this before trying to buy the map again, best 87 bucks I've spent in ages.

Lets see, FW190, Spitfire, Normandy Map and Assets Pack for $40.

I'd say that is a pretty good Kickstarter deal and well worth the wait.

I've got a gold backers reward and have always wondered on the item-- 'Copy of any Eagle Dynamics developed DCS product'- and what is available for that reward , also I pre-purchased a key for a P 51 and haven't taken up the P51 key from my backers rewards so am wondering if that is transferable to another product
