About to update my Spitfire skins for DCS, after some experimenting with the new roughmet files. I'm a fan! :) Overall better look with regards to paint finish, bare metal effects, weathering, staining, scuffs and scratches. Can't wait for other aircraft to become PBR ready!

These should be available for 2.5x soon, screenies from the model viewer:

On September 27, while patrolling the Arnhem area just after Operation Market Garden, 441 Squadron intercepted some 15 Fw-190s and Bf-109s. P/O Sid Bregman was credited with shooting down a Bf109 east of Arnhem while flying MJ627.

did you plan to give some love to the CW version, too ;)

Oh yes, just may have to take a bit of artistic license, as RCAF clipped wing Spits were usually Mk.XVIEs, with or without the bubble canopy. ;)

I'm concentrating on the Canadian schemes before branching out into other nationalities, as this is obviously a popular aircraft with skinners from all countries :)

Hey, are you aware of the issue with the Beurling skin, that you missed the " around CAN so it doesn't show up to use under Canada in the ME.

:wallbash:

All RCAF Spitfire skins checked/corrected to ensure Canada can be selected as country in Mission Editor. Sorry for the inconvenience, skins can be downloaded at links in this thread.

Bort numbers on CW Spits???

Okaaaayyy... Someone already posted a question about the BORT numbers on the Spit IX CW, does anybody know if the BORT lines in the description.lua have a different syntax, nothing I've done seems to stop this from happening:

v7xr2E.jpg

Supposed to say AU-H, SM309 ;)

421 RCAF MK.XVIe, you'll have to imagine the broad chord rudder, and the .50s/20mm armament :)

Thanks! I’ll check it out when I get home tonight, have been away all weekend. I’d used uboats’ EDM extractor to look at the descr lua syntax for the CW Spit and I think it was identical to the full span Spit for the BORT number lines.
