Furia Posted May 30, 2018 Share Posted May 30, 2018 Hi. Indeed the rain in the sim may need to be reviewed, However in some cases it appears to be heavy enough. In helicopters in order to keep VFR you have to really slow down because the water effect on the plexiglass makes you lose visual references. At slower speeds you recover a bit of those. Thank you Yeah, you have to make sure it rains, through the Mission Editor's weather tab. As for the effect on the canopy, it's not an option. Some aircraft have it implemented, some don't. I've only flown the F-18 and the F-16 in rainy conditions recently and both have it. Probably the F-14 and AV-8B as well, at least, maybe some others as well, but I don't honestly remember for sure.
