No problem, dude. Although it isn't conclusive proof of a kill shot, it does show what can happen if a Raptor pilot gives up his greatest advantage. As others in the earlier debate pointed out though, loss of SA and tactical advantage like this would be very unlikely in a real-world scenario. ;)

yeah! perhaps your right, but the F-18E/F is a great Fighter with a lot of potentials(High AOA,etc). she can manage very well in BVR.(Having AESA Radar).

But the Raptor would have the edge in the RCS and Stealth environment that will give her the initial capability for the first kill engagment.

Totally agree. Close and slow is not a fight you want to pick with a Hornet. That's where it does its best work.

Not sure if the Super Bugs all have AESA radar though. BVR against a Raptor, well, that's one dead bug, sorry to say.

Sorry to contradict you but yes they all have the AESA.(F-18E/F).

The APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array.

Actualy they do not as of date. APG-70 AESA is till under tests and initial integration on production aircraft. The superbugs in service still have a Mechanical array version of that radar, but make no mistake about it, its still very potent and will outdetect most other radars out there.

They don't all yet have the '79. Only the latest Block II deliveries have AESA installed. The early Superhornets still use the '73. There are current issues with the'79 AESA that are still being sorted out. IIRC only Block II and above Superhornets can be fitted with the '79 because of new structeral changes need to accomadated the AESA and it's cooling system.
