Mission: ASW Training Course

I remember playing this in Multiplayer, it is good to go for MP also right?

I am not sure, frankly I didn't test it yet.

I noticed that there is now a huge FPS loss when using the dipping sonar. In 2013 the same code was working without performance problems, so something about the scripting engine must have changed. I imagine that this might lead to problems in multiplayer. I will probably have an opportunity in a couple of days to check it in MP.

Any chance of updating this to current?

It looks amazing and I'm working on a maritime campaign right now.

If there is any usage documentation for this script I would love to take a look at it. Can't seem to find any.

ETA I did find some in the config script. Attempting.

Good luck with it, I would love to see it being used in more ASW missions. My script are usually richly commented within, so I hope you can figure out the necessary configurations. At this point I would also have to rely on the comments.

I test them on 2.2 and working.

Some Questions:

-Can add to AI ships sonar to intent detect to a submarine contact?

-Same add some ASW of "torpedo" to AI?

-Build some offensive "torpedo" to "enemy" submarine?

All this could be written with some effort. The question really would be how far to take it for things that the player as a pilot will never see. My philosophy behind this script was to do something that the helicopter crew would directly interact with. Anyhow, I do not plan to do further work on this. It was a fun experiment to see what is possible push the boundaries.

I will have to play it again though. I am still rather proud on how the active sonar display maps the coastline :)

Having issues with the menu not being accessible immediately after takeoff. Anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize that you have to use "\" for the menu on the ground and the radio key command once in the air. All good and working.

Glad to hear it is alive, Gray. Having this issue as well, I am assuming it is user error on my side!
