What i meant by viable project...is that the F-20 is very similar to the F-5...so begining the F-20 project from the F-5....we could have here at DCS a F-20 in maybe half-the-time.

F-20 Did not see anything beyond Demonstrator/Prototype Phase.

Hey....i think people like famous aircraft that belong to history but others just like the thrill of flying a bad bird in combat and the F-20 is one of it

Avionics and Systems wise they are nothing alike.

The External Looks Similar, but has significant changes, the cockpit would need to be nearly entirely re-done, along with the systems and PFM.

it's not the "copy/paste" venture you think it is.

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9)

3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

Not even close to that completion ratio.

They are totally different in avionics. High probability of even having to make the whole 3D from scratch let alone the systems.

I would like to know what is the level of software automation in aeroplane development.

Maybe as a mod? F-20 should have advancec avionics (ala F-16A I think)

better actually

Original F16A blocks did not have aim7 Capability, and no Multi function displays. F20 Did.
