And a couple screenshots from my first flight. What a beauty!

Very stable in a hover and during hover taxi

In the pit, the sense of speed near the ground is intense. From the external view I thought I'd be outrun by any pedestrian. ;)

Very stable in forward flight

Awesome details all around

Most cockpit switches aren't clickable yet, but the instruments seem fully functional.

Sorry for showing off, but I did my first "I wonder if that's even possible" landings in the Huey here, so I had to try. ;)

On the shoulders of a giant

On top of the world! Kinda.

Fantastic rotorhead details

Fuel tanks, radiators, engine

Tail rotor and stabilizer

Doesn't get more basic than that

Did a hot start for control adjustments and to get a feel for it, and then managed to do a cold start with a few hickups. Basically, it's like in the Huey, but a lot easier.

Fantastic mod! I really hope it'll be continued when time permits.

No problems here (a couple screenshots coming up), worked fine for me. I used WinRar to unzip the actual .rar archive with all the mod files.

Thanks for confirming it is on my end. No clue what is the cause dangit. I also use winrar and no other files are giving me an error when I try to extract them. Even tried with winzip too. Odd. Downloaded the file 5 times now, in 2 different browsers and they all fail for me. Downloaded his hummer_med 6.rar file and the gazelle_milan_6 rar file he has and both of those extracted without issue. Just the one I want and was waiting for is going belly up on me..lol.

Damn. :(

Do you have a tool for calculating file hashes? I use digestIT 2004 on Windows.

For Bell47_2.rar, it gives me:

Bell47_2.rar
MD5: 0e678d1ce6a73adff3fedddedede6712
SHA1: 5965ed4141ec864c4e6ea252f77392d47487a93c

That's the file I downloaded this afternoon and that obviously works for me. ;)

I actually use a tool called Fileinfo as part of my ft job(Work for a rather large well known software company). I did install digestIT and came up with the same hash results as you. No clue why this is happening with this one. I worked around it by using my work laptop to dl the file and it unrar'd fine there then just copied files to usb and moved to main rig. But mystery to me ..lol

Thanks for the suggestions and screenshots to enjoy while i worked around this. Appreciated it.

And thanks Upuaut, really appreciate the work you did on this amazing little project. I hope it gets completed one day. It deserves it. It has an amazing view in VR, the best in DCS now currently for enjoying the terrain, like a flying lawn chair. Will be great for touring Normandy and others. I was really looking forward to this. If only a texture artist could pretty it up a bit down the road at least that would be awesome.

Thank you again very much for adding this to the hangar. Makes a great propeller beanie for the Sphinx.

Tried it last night. This bird/cockpit is made for VR :) Can't wait to explore Normandy with is.

Yeah, it says so in the "known issues" file. Which is why I was very keen on not damaging my chopper. ;)

Certainly an incentive not to crash now... ;)

Drop the folder and file into the main Bell 47 folder.

Allow overwrite.

Back up original bell47_2.lua file first!

Try to crash (should not be to hard!) and see if the other DCS crash issue is fixed.

Not tested yet.

New destruct file.

No changes to the model.

Let me know if it works.

"Yeah, and though I work in the valley of Death, I will fear no Evil. For where there is one, there is always three. I preparest my aircraft to receive the Iron that will be delivered in the presence of my enemies. Thy ALCM and JDAM they comfort me. Power was given unto the aircrew to make peace upon the world by way of the sword. And when the call went out, Behold the "Sword of Stealth". And his name was Death. And Hell followed him. For the day of wrath has come and no mercy shall be given."

So just to confirm, you need to have the UH-1 module for this mod to work?

Yes, it requires it.
