Cockpit update complete.
Now I’m working on the night lighting bug that has shown up.
As soon as that’s fixed I’ll be pushing the update to ED testers then out to you guys.

Excellent news, hope the bug will be squashed soon
Best regards

It looks like the new graphics update doesn’t like the older lighting system and is casting big pixelated shadow across the cockpit.

I’m reverting the entire cockpit lighting (16 independent lights) to the new method.
It’s similar to the gauge backlighting update I did a little while ago.

Come on VEAO, it's been 4 years with this cockpit texture saga. It's time to hire a professional texture artist with experience to just get it done once and for all. The customers deserve it.

There are plenty of artists that would do it for free just get their portfolio going with a commercial product.

Nice armchair management there, Nine. I'm sure you're a highly successful engieering/coder with a background at NASA that definitely knows what he's talking about.

It doesn't take a NASA engineer to work out 4 years is a really long time for a cockpit texture to get made....

It's time to put egos and pride aside and deliver a quality product.

That would be quite an achievement considering that DCS didnt support PBR 4 years ago

We are confident that everyone will enjoy the update when it is complete

Is it me or the Hawk is getting much needed TLC... The ashes of my faith in VEAO is starting to feel warm again, I am glad I did not throw water on it.

There has been alot of work going on in the background for Hawk for some time - we are now starting to get the benefit on all that work

Futures bright

Well, they did a complete overhaul in the past, already.
Now, DCS 2.5 (where PBR was introduced) came in autumn 2017.
I would love to see, how a texture artist time travel to the future to get the PBR textures done... Even ED themselves just recently announced they will update the A-10C cockpit textures to PBR etc. in the near future.
