Havremonster
Hello Some days ago I wanted to use the record option in the mission editor. I recorded about 4 minutes uncompressed avi and ended up with a "little" file on 49gb!!!:helpsmilie: And I only used resolution 800x600...Waste of time and for sure waste of space LOL My question is; What program do people use when they record clips like they put on YouTube? grunf
I use nvidia built in recorder, shadowplay or whatever it's called now. :) Works fine for me. 4 minutes in 1080p (mp4) came under 2GB. Here's my latest video: Edited November 21, 2016 by grunf

That's Correct, Uncompressed AVI 10-Bit RGB @ 800x600 @ 60FPS is about 47 GB + AUDIO. Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
Wayc00lio
OBS - it's very good. However, you will always generate large files with uncompressed video footage! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Asus ROG Rampage Extreme VI; i9 7900X (all 10 cores at 4.5GHz); 32 Gb Corsair Dominator DDR4; EVGA 1080Ti Hybrid; 1Tb Samsung 960 Evo M2; 2Tb Samsung 850 Pro secondary. Oculus Rift; TM Warthog; Saitek Combat Pros.
SkateZilla
the good thing about record AVI is you can render 60 FPS Max Frame Size and Max Details. Good for editing Trailers, as you can overcrank the FPS to 90/120 FPS then convert to 60 and generate smooth slo - mo etc. You can use MJPEG/Lossless Compression, AFAIK no one has scripted the plugin for that, I'd like to script a plugin that allows me to use the Hardware H265 Codec on my Studio Video Card. Havremonster
Thank you all for the answers and a special thanks to "grunf " for the advice. I did try the "Shadowplay" and it worked great. Only it recorded in slow motion. But a great tool anyway :)
