Crash *
Hello ED-Team! Please get rid of this ugly FARP Hill. The 90s are over. I play often in Multiplayer and MODs are not used by everyone. So we need an ED-Solution like Heatblur with their Viggen. You can refuel and rearm on a street. rrohde
Totally agree. That's always something that's bothered me for a long time... FARPS should be flush with the ground. Svend_Dellepude
I think the farp is elevated this way for it to be able to be placed even if the ground or area is not completely level. Might be a thing from the past though. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD. Weta43
You need a flat bit to land on, but even if they just made it that the functional part of the FARP was just the metal covered bit shown in the image - because it's so much smaller it wouldn't end up as a massive hill, just a bit of level ground. You could then make the base any shape you wanted by adding multiple pads. (eg laid out as a strip of terraces on the side of a hill, or in a grid on the flat) You could avoid the multiple ATC that would happen currently by making it that the FARPS are a simple spawn/de-spawn point, and putting the ATC logic in the mobile ATC unit that's available, then linking the mobile ATC to a pad/pads in the ME Cheers. xvii-Dietrich
Totally agree that the FARPs could use some work. Better terrain integration and configuration are really needed (as well as some desert-, winter- and just plain dirt-textures to go with it). I like @Weta43's ideas too... good suggestions there. While it might not be totally trivial to implement, it would certainly be simpler than the super-carrier project. Perhaps they could do some FARP improvements to go with the Mi-24? Paganus
Don't get rid of it. Just make a flat version. The elevation helps it sit on uneven ground.

David OC
It would be nice to be able to rearm with just the trucks placed down on the ground. Also good for the Multiplayer / mistral on the front lines with ammo truck. Problem is the F/A-18 can land anywhere just about and rearm, so no aircraft except Viggen. dSAF Dancer
+1 Please give us the option to rearm with a trigger zone, or with placed ground vehicles. A bonus would be tat you can deactivate civil traffic in one specific area, or with a vehcle placed on the road. Richard Dastardly
Defining FARPs by trigger zones would fix most of it - add a few statics for looks but move the functionality to something that doesn't care about terrain. SspectrumM
Defining FARPs by trigger zones would fix most of it - add a few statics for looks but move the functionality to something that doesn't care about terrain. Oh yes please, we need it. With that option it would be possible to make custom FARPs and road bases for the harrier and and get rid of that ugly low poly - resolution, big green slab that doesn't even have texture for desert maps. I know that you might need to rent the NASA quantum super computers to compile the code and more than 100,000 man-hours of work to make it done but please ED, please. Absolutely freaking this add start from ground for all airframes (not just helicopters). I'll also agree with Weta about just the top-piece (matting?) but on the whole near enough all static objects are due for replacing but personally I'd put the priority below aircraft, ground vehicles and ships.
