It really depends on what setting and what mission/plane you fly. So if you want to compare performance, it really does depend on a lot of things.

Are you asking what FPS people are getting?

Well, I was going to get a new monitor and was undecided between a 34" UWQHD or whatever and a 32" QHD or whatever.

I ended up going with the 32" 2560x1440, so it's kind of a moot point now. I flew the Mirage for a little bit and after initial loading, it ran flawlessly.

I can play at 4K, with everything on high, with a Ryzen 1700, 32GB RAM and GeForce 1070. I've not tried super complex battles, and the same settings make VR chug to the point of being unplayable in complex scenarios, but it's possible.

Well I was about to create a new topic but I'll hook with my question right here:smilewink:

I would like to know from you guys if a RTX 2070 could hold DCS World in 4k@60FPS most of the time. I have a solid setup but I'm tired of my FHD Benq xl2720z and the QHD monitors are gettin harder to find and the ones that are available are more expensive than the 4k models with FreeSync/GSync. My other hard specs are in my sig.

Thanks guys!

Tried a 2070 baremetal @ 1440p ultrawide and it was not 100% stable at 60fps (frametime variations etc). Could probably tweak settings more but *effort*..

I doubt it too.

Looking at 1080ti vs 2070 tells me that it aint got enough power to always deliver 60fps at acceptable LOD ( High ). You dont go 4k and then drop LOD to minimum, do you ?

Well, unfortunately this happen with me too playing at 1080p. I lock the FPS to 62 frames with MSI RT but on the ground doing a ramp start I get 35/40/50 FPS most of the time. #justdcsthings

but not constant my friend... and no, you don't. all maxed, shadows full you drop down to 45 to 50 with 1080ti, 8700k, 32 gb ram.

It's up and down, but yes, I do. Really? You're going to argue with me about my own experience? People around here @@

Well I'm not going to argue with you, I'm just happy you get good performance!

If you have the time and inclination I would love to see your complete in-game settings and also the NVidia driver settings. And system specs like clocks, ram speed, ssd etc

No, ho detto di più

In house two now, glad you are an Asrock fan, have the Phantom 9, of course the Phantom 10 comes out right afterwards :-)

Do all six of your cores run at 5 Ghz?

asrock motherboards generally speaking are awesome and provide imoh best price/quality per dollar...

Just think that the z170 oc formula won all the overclockers competiions on the world

https://www.modders-inc.com/asrock-z170-oc-formula-setting-more-overclocking-records/

check out this guy running a z170 oc formula with a 9900k @5.5 ghz...

And btw I also get 180fps with my 2080ti and a 8700@5.0 ghz but these fps are NOT stable, I am caping fps@60 for the best smoother experience with trackir.

I switched to a 2080ti as I am planning to go VR in septemer/october:smilewink:

Being realistic @ 2560 x 1440

I can hold / forced to 60 fps and hold 60 95% of the time on the largest server DDCS, 100s of units, some slung and player driven battles with max settings, msaa x2.

The only thing I have changed is my ram, now 32gb ram @ 3000. Which really only helps a little bit, but every bit helps.

That would be possible @ 3440 x 1440 on that server. Only with the 2080ti I'm guessing...
