Server connection time outs and initial lag spikes

Good evening,

After the last update on OB ive started to experience a few issues. One being that I have a lag spike which lasts approximately 20-30 seconds upon booting into the pit in singleplayer missions. In multiplayer, I'm connecting to a server and getting to the roles screen where my game freezes but continues to play the background noise then goes to a server timed out after about a minute. Please advise what logs might be needed to help diagnose the issue. Thank you.

Have a look at

C:\users\yourusername\saved games\dcsworldopenbeta\logs

there will be a lot file from the last time you ran DCS that is to say DCS will overwrite the log file when it starts so you need to quite out of DCS after you experience an issue rename the file or move it.

My system can take a while to get into the aircraft and the MP thing sounds like your ping time is too long maybe.
