MiG-29 PFM is awesome!!!

Now that I've flown the MiG-29 PFM I'm wondering if the rest of them are as close to reality as it seems to be. The 29 seems to have a higher sense of fidelity than the Su-27 to me...

From reading the other threads on this, it seems the Mig-29 is supposed to be a more fiesty, direct and "raw" aircraft to fly than the Su-27. You might perceive that as more "real", but it doesn't actually mean either model is closer or further from their respective realities. They're different aircraft. It only means our Mig-29 feels more exciting to fly.

Turn off ASC in the Su-27 and you'll get all the "sense of fidelity" you desire. A lot of what you feel is lacking in the Su-27 is actually the flight control system keeping you alive in a very unstable (by design) aircraft.

Oh yeah, forgot about the "fun" button!

But I thought ASC in the Flanker only affects pitch. The Fulcrum still has way more rudder authority, and is twitchier in roll.

I am in love with the MIG-29, I SO wish that an high fidelity version of that plane would be available!

Same here. In fact, the overall fidelity of the PFM and the eye-candy of the now much improved cockpit screams for a full-blown DCS: MiG-29 module.

Its particular characteristcs make this aircraft feel somewhat "raw".

And so it might contribute to virtual pilots start thinking, if other aircraft's flight model also is as realistic as this one.

I wouldn't explain it better.

Just to comment on this as well - I think that this is especially true with the auto pilot channels in the current MiG-29 PFM implementation (directly compared to the 27's equivalent AP channels).
