Flighter
Hi ppl. I have just upgraded my video card to an RTX2080ti. This is a comparison with my previous GTX1080. The comparison was done with Oculus but I guess applies to all users. Test procedure is my usual one as described here https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3549074&postcount=218 I hope you find it interesting and/or helpful. My conclusion is that for my set-up it was worth it. I have substantially better game play for my preferences. In general, I get very often 90fps with a PD of 1.8 (which for Oculus CV1 I think is the best). Setting NR 16 gives me 100% improvement and at the moment is my favorite. Cheers. DCS FIGHTER PILOT
I have the 2080ti and the 9900k along with 32gb ram. Is it normal to get around 85fps on the Persian Gulf on max settings or is this a bit low for my specifications?
Flighter
I have the 2080ti and the 9900k along with 32gb ram. Is it normal to get around 85fps on the Persian Gulf on max settings or is this a bit low for my specifications? There are so many other factors that would affect your performance, from the plane you are flying, pixel density, platform (Oculus, Vive, screen etc etc), mission and a million other things. But still 85 fps sounds brilliant ! If you want some meaningful comparison choose some of the settings and follow the same procedure as I described in the mentioned post. That would be interesting ! Cheers !
