So, after the last update to the stable version (DCS 2.5.6.52437) I lost the console and instrument panel backlight brightness, its fine for night operation, but I like to use the backlight during day operation too, is this going to get fixed or this is now permanent? I am on steam, so can't rollback...

We were talking mainly about the text readability on the DDI's here. However yes, the back-lighting for consoles and instruments have definitely lost brightness after the last update. Now can barely see back-lighting in the daytime. Fix one thing, then break another that was already working fine. Very aggravating.

From what I've heard, it's normal for the backlit lighting to be almost invisible under daylight. It's not supposed to be all that strong in the first place.

Agree with that. IRL backlit lighting not visible in normal daylight conditions.

That was fixed in last month's open beta release, so going on two months now. Patch fixed screens but broke the maverick / slam seeker head image by making it incredibly dark.

They said they'll address that in the upcoming patch. Plus, we'll get display contrast controls, so we'll be able to adjust the image ourselves.
