Viggen module crashes during loading in 1.5 and 2.0

It seems you have a lot of DX11 shader errors in your logs.

Maybe try to run "dxdiag" in your "Run" command in Windows.

Dxdiag should show you if you have any problems in your DirectX setup.

Have you tried installing a new DirectX runtime?

And have you checked your graphics drivers?

DXdiag states no problems.

Installed new graphics drivers 2 times without any result.

Have you tried installing a new DirectX runtime?

How?

Ok, that's good, it was worth a try.

If you want to try installing DirectX runtime, there's instructions here:

https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-download-install-directx-2624489

There's no guarantee that it helps, but it checks if you have any files missing or wrong, and updates them.

It's just things I would try, if it was me.

But Cobra847 and RagnarDa looks like they are on it also, so they might be able to figure it out. :)

Thanks,

I will try it this evening.

I hope it can be fixed soon.

Have you done any tweaks like e.g. changing how many threads or cores are used on your CPU?

Have you tested your RAM recently?

No tweaks.

It is new RAM and it is 3 month old.

How can I test the memory?

Can the memory profile, be the cause of the problem?

How can I see how many cores are used and only the real cores or also the HT cores?

But why do the other modules run without problems then?

Hi all,

Found the solution myself. :smartass:

After updating the MSI Gaming APP software to version 6.2.0.8 or 6.2.0.10 the problem was solved.

This sofware was provided with my new MSI GTX 1080 GPU.

Best Regards, Grippen7

I'm having the same problem. Viggen crashing and I get this error message (attached).

I'm on the latest update for the graphics card drivers and software so I really don't know what's up. It was running fine until a couple days ago.

Hey!

Please attach your crashdump files found in Saved Games/DCS/Logs

Thanks!

The error says you are missing a file. Go into C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\mods\aircraft\AJS37\Cockpit\reources\ and see if you can find the file radar.fx

If it's not there I suggest you disable any anti-virus software running and reinstall the Viggen module. If it is there I suggest you reinstall it anyway or even DCS World. You can reinstall the Viggen module through the module manager in DCS: In the main menu, click the "grid"-like icon at the top. Select Installed. Uncheck AJS37 and then click close and restart DCS. Then install AJS37 as you normally would again.

Hope this helps!
