well, in all it's variants, the 109 is the most produced aircraft of all times (roughly 33.000 build).

for THAT reason, i would like to know, how fast we DCS guys will top that number with crashes due to pilot errors :D

regards,

RR

Actually, 35.000 aircraft of the IL-2 were produced, but the 109 is in second place!

I really wanted Bf-109, but I thought it won't be released anytime soon so I choose Dora for my backers reward instead. I didn't even know what Dora is before DCS. , I guess I a am going to pay a lot for this mistake. There are no words to explain how mad I am:mad:

Don't get this in a wrong way, I am not native english speaker. Go ED and DCS WWII:pilotfly:

We've had the Dora for about a month and the BF109 is still 2+ months from being released in beta. Dora is a great plane that should prep you for some of the future challenges of the K-4 (airfields are going to be a train wreck). It will probably be 2 or 3 months after the K-4 that the IX Spit should arrive so be ready because plenty of WWII planes are in the pipeline.

Yeah, G6 was most produced model of 109's but in 1944 it was already obsolete and being replaced (in western front especially) by G14 and AS models of both G6 and G14, then later in '44 by K4's and G10's.

Check the numbers produced. They actualy produced more of "normal" G6 than any other 109 model and G14 was not the only model produced at the same time in 1944.

Also K4+G14+G10 together are not even equal to the number of G6 that was built up to the end of November 1944.

G6 is the most representative of the whole period of 1943-1945.

The 109 is iconic, no matter what you feel about the aircraft... and no matter what variant...

...and?

Isn't that pretty much exactly what i wroted?

Yeah, because G6 production was started in 1943. But some 4,500 G14, 2,600 G10 and 1200-1500 K4s are definitely enough to present these models in game.

G6 is the most representative of the whole period of 1943-1945.

For 1943/mid '44 it would be.

No offence guys, but they are building the K, no need to discuss anymore.

Based on that video, I think you can use the word 'built'. :)

Stay on Topic please. This is a thread about the DCS Bf 109K-4 module.

don't worry SiThSpAwN, they are only thinking of utopias... xD

Anyway, even with K4 in DCS, i would like to see Bf-109 G6 or G-10.

But the planes i really would like to see are:

-Bf-109 G-10

-P-38 (probably in highest priority of figthers)

-B-17 (ultra super quality modeled with multicrew and being able to explore all the frame of the plane... (Bomb way too)

-Bf-110 in DCS

-P-47

-B-25 or A-20

-Mosquito

-Me-262 A-1

-C-47

-And... probably JU-52 (hydroplane and non-hydroplane)

As for pacific, i would love Zero and Corsair...

Planning on getting this one , what is the differece with this and the Dora? (In general terms)

I am not very much into WW2, sorry

Thanks

Lots of differences... the biggest differece would be in turn-rate and speed.

K4 is faster at high alt than Fw190 and D9 is better at low alt.

K4 turn better at low speed (and in sustained turn) Fw190 is better at pulling at high speed.

Fw190 has better view view to the back though... and much better roll rate at all speeds.

EDIT: Those are the basics.

190 has two 20mm Cannons and two MG with a load of ammo

109 has a 30mm Cannon and so MG but very little ammo for the 30mm (There were K4 with 20mm installed).

190 should fly medium to low cover and 109 high cover.

Hi,

Are u sure about Bf 109K-4 with 20mm cannon?

K-4 from Regensburg factory had 30mm.

Only one plane in known from another factory (Erla in Leipzig W.nr. 570375) and who knows its armament?

Good question...

I want to hear that from ED. Which gun is it going to have? Mk108 30mm or 20mm MG151/20?:gun_smilie:

I know only about the 30mm for this version.(At least all sites that I have visited say so)

I'm pretty sure it will be the MK108. As far as I know, the MG 151/20 was not installed on the K-4.

Jochen and Prien say that some 109K-4s were delivered with the MG 151/20. I don't recall their giving an exact figure, suffice it to say it wouldn't be more than two dozen.

I would then assume that the DCS Kurfurst would be delivered with the MK108.
