October 8th 2013 : The 1.1 version is out,

Unit Score by default and minor tweaks added

 

PS : I would like to add A-10 and others weapons damage, but as i only know how to fly Black Shark... Well... can't do it myself :(

PPS : About reload time, you should know it's not a perfect science. Only ED can answer this question. For what i saw, the unit begin to reload as soon as the first shot is fired.

Thus if you spend 10mn to dispense your ammos, and it requires 15mn to reload, you end up with a 5mn reload time.

it's a database for multiple purposes.

 

shows unit name (same order as in ME)

its base chassis / life / armor thickness / speed / AI cruise speed / sensor height / detection range / Threat range / Weapons / Quantity / Reload time etc...

- A ground commander can use it to know which unit send on the battlefield

- Make balanced mission

- Choose what weapon to fire against certains threats (the KA-50 gun doesn't work on every targets for example)

- and more...

It's a codex ;)

 

the only way to change unit behavior is to play with .lua

(put 1 in armor thickness and your unit will be in god-mod)

 

But it's only working in local. You'll get an error in MP if you try to cheat.

Oh sorry, i got away since this time, and i don't like thread necromancy but...

 

Armor = kinda Shield, or points of armor obviously. The difference between Highly Explosive Bullets (HE) and Armor Piercing Bullets (AP) will determine the damage done on tanks and other armored vehicle.

Usually, explosive stuff do highest damage on the softest target.

 

The life, is... well, it's the number of points given to an unit.

 

Example on my table :

Your can hit a bunker with 2 Vikhrs (50 life = 2x38damage. Armor piercing test passed) or 1 Vikhr and 2 rockets KOM, but throwing a deadly Kh-25ML anti-ship missile will never result in a success. (50 life, = 160 damage per missile, but the armor test is rejected. The KH-25 can penetrate 0.01 armor, not 0.1 which has the bunker and toughest tanks).

 

 

By the way, i just updated the codex to 1.1 (ok i thought i did it long time ago)!
