BrokenArrow
I have noticed in TacView just immediately after firing missiles against BOTs in TWS(i am in F15 with 120C), They started chaffing, actually, there is no way they can find missile is in the air, Is this a bug? Someone else faced it? :( ------------------------------------------------- AMD 3700x, 32GB 3600 C16 RAM, 2080 Ti FE, 32UD89 4K 60, 300Mbps LAN There are only 3 sexy airplanes in the sky, Flanker, Viper, Raptor
LTRMcrew
If the missile went active as soon as you launched it, they will get an RWR spike and that is reasonable for them to pop chaff.
Haukka81
Its bug or ai cheats still. They chaff soon as your missile leaves rail. Even in tws . Fix is coming someday. I launched it on the max range and keep the target locked, that missile will not go active immediately. ------------------------------------------------- AMD 3700x, 32GB 3600 C16 RAM, 2080 Ti FE, 32UD89 4K 60, 300Mbps LAN There are only 3 sexy airplanes in the sky, Flanker, Viper, Raptor
Haukka81
Known issue. AI cheats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Exorcet
I always chaff before missile goes active, why would AI act different? It shouldn't be based on missile launch though, maybe range. Coding the AI to act human is hard, so "cheats" like chaffing in response to a TWS launch are understandable sometimes. The triggers to activate the behavior should be something convincing though. In this case, the AI knowing exactly when a missile is launch is unrealistic. However, AI "guessing" at a missile launch because of proximity is believable. Though in this case the AI should probably only use chaff sparingly to avoid wasting it. BrokenArrow
I always chaff before missile goes active, why would AI act different? Well you can chaff even before anyone launches missiles. If you have more than enough of it :D But as I said AI chaffs exacts second I get of missile how would that happen? ------------------------------------------------- AMD 3700x, 32GB 3600 C16 RAM, 2080 Ti FE, 32UD89 4K 60, 300Mbps LAN There are only 3 sexy airplanes in the sky, Flanker, Viper, Raptor
Nealius
They also flare immediately upon Fox 2 launch under conditions where a human pilot would be unable to see the launch. I'm inclined to build missions with AI carrying limited/no countermeasures to mitigate their cheating.
