iKyrThraad993i
If you also stream, that is your kit ! I am coming from a older GTX 1080 that is broken and out of warranty. Will the 5700 XT be a nice choice for gaming on a 1080P monitor
BitMaster
the 5700xt blows trade with 2070 and 1080ti, sometimes faster, sometimes slower, all within 5-15%. with 1080p you will be cpu limited, I guess in the upper fps area. you wouldnt be able to stream 144hz anway. lock it at 60 and it willbe buttersmooth and no dropped frames during streaming. ...looking for a link...3900x vs 9900k...and then with OBS...and the AMD PULLS MILES AWAY: https://www.overclockers.com/?attachment_id=120921 full article: https://www.overclockers.com/amd-ryzen-9-3900x-and-ryzen-7-3700x-cpu-review/ Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Asus 1080ti EK-waterblock - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus PG278Q 27" QHD Gsync 144Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
BitMaster
I would make sure to get some 3600MHz low latency RAMs from QVL. Gskill has a true 3600-16-16-16-36-2T kit as a 4x8GB config. That is usually supported. I have the same one in my 7700k rig as a 16GB kit. rocksolid. Dont go higher than 3600, rather invest in non-LED but better timings :) *have you checked Gigabyte' Aorus Master yet vs. your Asus choice ? Take the one with better RAM support. For 4 modules that should be Gigabyte's T-Topology, according to Buildzoid. ( SHOULD ! the grain of salt, as usual) Edited August 18, 2019 by BitMaster Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Asus 1080ti EK-waterblock - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus PG278Q 27" QHD Gsync 144Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X

With QVL list will I be able to set my XMP or whatever AMD calls it without any problems if I pick from the QVL list. I am looking for 3000MHZ https://www.gskill.com/product/165/326/1562838269/F4-3000C16Q-32GTZN-Overview How is the RGB Software for GSKill Also thanks for the 5700 XT info I really worry about that and stuff and wanted to make sure its good for my gaming needs and won't have like 20 fps - 50 fps in games. I always liked AMD and loved there RYZEN Comeback and there GPU look really good now not perfect but good. BitMaster
Asus Aura, the crappiest software in the Milky Way Galaxy, has 1 useful settings, it indicates temp with LED colours. Sadly, that causes a constant cpu usage that is way above what most tolerate, it uses more than all of the others combined which are running after reboot. It's about 2-3%, that is way too much, 8,33% is 1 core/thread ( 100:12=8.33 6c/12t ). It also refuses to install anyone that is newer than 1 a year old. full disaster on that end. Asus Aura has lots of negative threads in google and on rog-forum. In the end they all suck when it comes to RGB software.. You can see tons of youtube and forum post just like ever other place lol
clayvt
Unless you absolutely need the PCIe 4.0 for ridiculously fast storage, I’d look at less expensive X470 boards that have good VRM support.
