Delete contents of .torrent folder?

Recommended Posts

I used SpaceSniffer to see if I could free some space on my system (http://www.uderzo.it/main_products/space_sniffer/index.html).

I noticed that I had 7GB in the .torrents map in my DCS 2.0 install:

(..\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\_downloads\.torrents)

Are these files needed to run DCS or can I safely delete them?

  • 6 months later...

In the post that Vampire linked, it says that in the near future the updater will ask to clean up the .torrent files. Nearly 12 months on, this still isn't the case, is it still safe to delete the files in the /downloads/.torrets folder manually without any issues. They are the culprit of my disk defray taking many hours due to sheer size.

Its 2020 and I'm wondering the same question...why is this not being cleaned? I just deleted 3.8 gig btw from that folder.
