bugger... must of deleted it.... Okey I'll re upload it... IF anybody has it can you send me it please.... the one I have is not the same anymore..

Hello.

Thank you for this mod, but I have a problem: it doesn´t move on Persian Gulf scenery. I edit it with a waypoint at 100nm and it appears but doesn't move.

One friend send to me a mission with same scenery and works perfectly.

Any idea to fix it?.

Hi.

Some areas of Persian Gulf are shallow hard to know its depth from map view (enough far from the coasts or islands, though).
Such less depth causes ships' grounding .... cannot move any more.

When you set the same waypoints of HMS Hermes with other ships like USS Stennis or HMS Invincible, they can move as you plan or not like Hermes ?
If the result will be same to Hermes with other official ships ..... HMS Hermes mod aren't responsible about it.

Sea / Gulf's depth can be seen in Mission Editor's bottom line --- Alt column.
Its minus value shows the depth of the place under the mouse cursor.
We can check that our missions' ship waypoints have enough depth with it.

Long time no post/up date.. I blame a new job..

 

Added link to first post for the beta version that has the dynamic wet deck, This is a first pass for it.

So first off thanks for your great work🙂 I'm having a very strange take off issue with the Hermes but that not why I'm here.

I could not find a thread for the QE2 so here I am. I've added AI take off (and landing soon) capabilities to the QE2 using the VSN F-35B. Up to 24 F-35B can take off from the deck using the ramp and I should have at least 10 or so landing. I just need to work out the parking spots. Here is an early test video of the take offs

Yeah I was gonna get to that but you beat me to it... looking awesome. Is the issue you or the A.I.....?

I'm also gonna update the textures when i get a chance... it's just the catobar version has taken over.. might even do a stobar version for the SnG..

If you load it up in the model viewer you can view the routes... dont think I've done a vid on that yet.. I'll add it to the list for Saturday.

Thanks. I'll send you the lua file if you like. And thank you for all the great MODs. The only thing I have left on the QE2 is the parking. I just need to map out and test some routes. Also I've got the F-35 landing vertically correctly. Well sort off, lol. It depends on aircraft weight so right now you have to set it up in the ME so the plane returns with a light fuel load. Also I've made a separate RN-F35 MOD for use with the British carriers. I fitted the Meteor and Aim-132 missiles and have the weight set so it will Short take off and if all weapons fire should (???) land vertically.

Yeah the AI is taking the nams jump jet a little too literally.

Hey Joey, I've just got back into DCS after some time away and have re downloaded the Hermes mod and have seen that R12 is missing from the island, in fact all island numbers are missing from all the liveries.

I know it seems trivial but wondered if i'd done something wrong, I've read through the forum and also downloaded the latest update but haven't seen any info on this.

Just want to say the Hermes Mod is looking fantastic by the way, great work as always 🙂

Hiya, so I've had this issue where the VSN f-4's fall through the deck lifts of the ship, and have trouble hooking up to the ship, is this a problem your side or from the phantom mod itself?

I was really looking forward to do proper RN fleet air arm stuff, and it's a bit of a bummer, thanks in advance

I'm not sure @joey45 the one I had was still having texture issues with the Seacat because it had to do with the SA asset and no wake. Because of this and some other matters, I was having with my PC, I ended up recently deleting all my mods and installing fresh new versions.

Did you entered the "Map" field? You need to set it to "Any Map".
